Abstract

In the world of literature, Rhetoric is one of the most important themes for both the writer and the reader. Because, the rhetoric assists the writer to express his thoughts in a much denoted style, and same is the case with the reader as it is the same rhetoric that makes him able to understand the literary piece at its core.

 

One of the most important terminologies of rhetoric is “Emphasis” called “Taakeed” in its Arabic terms. Like every other languages, the literature of Arabs, and Particularly, the holy Quran heeds a lot towards style of Emphasis; probably, because Quran has a lot of ordains and prohibitions in its text, and it all needs to be emphasize where it becomes really necessary to act upon.

 

As it is known that the Holy Quran is here in order to keep the mankind guiding till the worldly life ends; like other rhetorical terms, the reader finds everywhere “Emphasis”. This research article negotiates with reasons why emphasis was needed, and what were the objectives to emphasize.
