Abstract

All praise be to Almighty Allah, the Most Merciful, and Peace and blessings be
upon His messenger, and upon his companions.
The word Tawbah (repentance) is the way of return for the sinful towards
Allah.
The questions in this regard are that what are the prerequisites of repentance?
What is the turning point in repenting? As the problem with many people
today, is that either they commit sins repeatedly with no fear, and then hope
Allah’s forgiveness, or they lose hope, and become disappointed and stop
asking for Allah's forgiveness. While some others repent but without fulfilling
its prerequisites.
Therefore the repentance depends upon the consciousness of man about his
sins, it also depends upon the level of someone fear of sins and his hope in
Allah's mercy.
