Abstract

The rituals and festivals of Judaism and Christianity are fabricated and they create distortions in the society. The evil and dangerous customs mentioned above on different occasions are a stigma on the face of Islamic society. Observance of these rituals disgraces the Islamic civilization and the Muslim society. The high values that Islam encourages to cultivate are neglected. Sometimes religious beliefs and regulations are also violated. Above all, the financial loss caused by extravagance and wasteful spending is very destructive, even the poor are forced to follow the traditions established by the rich. And suffering from all kinds of tortures, they sit on stakes up to their honor and dignity. While the study of Islamic teachings makes it clear that celebrating Islamic holy festivals and expressing happiness is actually to remember the abundant blessings bestowed by Allah Ta'ala and thank them. Likewise, the Muslim Eid Philosophy is gratitude for the blessings of Allah, prayers and supplications, self-sacrifice and mutual unity and solidarity, and not just happiness and praise which is devoid of spirituality. This research paper mentions the differences between the social and religious festivals and customs of the Semitic religions.
