Abstract

This article is about the objections raised by the orientalists in regarding the
event of Bani Quraiza; a Jew tribe which was evacuated from Madina by the
holy prophet PBUH. This is a Madani Sura which comprises 9 Roku and 73
verses. The meaning of this sura is a group. There are three different
historical narrations about this Surah. The first event is related to battle of
Ahzab which took place in Shawal of the 5th Hijri. Second important event
narrated in this regard is that of battle of Bani Quraiza which also took place
in 5th Hijri in the month of Zu Alqaeeda. The third and important event
related to the mairrage between the holy prophet PBUH and Hazrat Zainab
Bint e Jahash RA and the propaganda initiated by the non believers in this
regard. This event also took place in the same year. By studying the three
events together we can conclude that this Sura was revealed during this time.
In this article the event of Bani Quraiza has been studied from the perspective
of Tafseer of Qazi Sanaullah Pani Patti.
