studies in order to shed light on them in order to benefit from them in society,
and because there are common elements between the Egyptian and Pakistani
societies due to the similarity of historical, religious, social and economic
conditions as well, so a great similarity was found In the values, customs and
social phenomena between both countries, which is reflected in the literature.
The sense of alienation was one of the most important issues that many poets

Thus, the present paper investigates two great poets who have their place in
both Arabic and Urdu literature. Both of them enjoy a distinct poetic position
in the Arab and Urdu cultures, stemming from the eastern culture in general,
and the Islamic one in particular. The two poets had suffered harsh alienation
outside the borders of their countries. Ahmed Abdel-Moaty Hegazy was an
expatriate in France, while Yashab Tamanna was an expatriate in London.
