Abstract

The article entitled: ‘Movement of Translation its development and duties of Translator” (special study (is a comprehensive study of Qur’anic &Translational study. The article presents a brief history of Translation from the beginning of the period of Humanism. Various meanings, shapes and kinds of the word:“Translation” in Arabic has been described as well as its root, derivation and usage in Arabic and other Major languages.

No doubt, translation is a very difficult task, especially translation of the meanings of Holy Quran. Language of the Holy Qur’an is very rich and has many shades of meanings, sothat, a common man has not capability to transfer its meanings into other than Arabic language. A translator of the meaning of Holy Qur’an has to be qualified with characteristics mentioned in authentic basic books of competent Muslim Writers and has to be expert in, styles, phrases, terms syntax and morphology of both languages.

. Art of translation and its implementation through the opinions of great writers’ translators and thinkers also have been described in the research paper.Historical and MajorsInstitutions of translation in various periods have been described in the article. Eminent translators and their contribution regarding this field have been described briefly. In the last duties of a translator and specially translator of the meanings of Holy Quran has been described trough the light of the opinions of great Muslim scholars. I hope the article will be beneficentfor the scholars of Qur’anic and rest of Islamic and Arabic studies.
