الملخص
Islam is a complete code of life that provides guidance for all aspects of human existence, including individual, social, moral, political, and legal dimensions. In Islamic teachings, peace, justice, equality, and goodwill are regarded as fundamental values. The prevention of crime and the establishment of justice and fairness in society are among the central objectives of the Islamic system of Sharia.
In an Islamic society, a Mufti holds a highly important and respected role. He not only clarifies the rulings of Sharia but also plays an intellectual and practical role in guiding the public and reforming society. A Mufti’s fatwa provides clarity on religious matters and helps people understand the legal and moral boundaries set by Islam. Particularly in societies where both law and religion function as fundamental pillars of social order, the role of Muftis can be highly effective in preventing crime.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (formerly known as the North-West Frontier Province) is a province of Pakistan that is highly sensitive in religious, tribal, and cultural terms and strongly connected to traditional values. The people of this region have strong religious inclinations, and at the local level, Muftis, religious scholars, and religious institutions hold significant influence in public life as decision-makers and moral authorities. Their fatwas and reformative statements not only provide religious guidance but also play a significant role in maintaining social discipline and ensuring peace and order in society.
